Brandon to ride for HOOTERS Suzuki!

Picture
Thanks to Tim Hunt and HOOTERS Suzuki I have been given an amazing opportunity and signed on to ride for the HOOTERS Suzuki team aboard their Suzuki GSXR600 at Round 4 and 5 of the WERA National Endurance Series in the Middleweight class.  HOOTERS Suzuki will also have their flagship Suzuki GSXR1000 running in the Heavyweight class with lead rider Tim Hunt.  I am very excited for this chance of a lifetime and will put my best foot forward to help us make it onto the podium at these two rounds!

It's Official!!!!!  Brandon Cretu accepted to race at 2010 TT!!!

Picture
The 2010 Isle of Man press launch was last Friday.  During the launch they unveiled the new website design and a list of the top 20 riders accepted as well as all of the newcomers for 2010.  Needless to say this was the first link I clicked on and my heart nearly lept out of my chest when I saw my name first on the newcomers page!!!  I had an inclination I would be accepted to race this year but didn't know for sure as nothing in life is certain.  Well now I can say the number one goal/dream/aspiration in my life is coming to fruition.  I cannot wait to represent my country at the 2010 Isle of Man TT and help to promote the TT as the worlds best motorcycling event, bar none!
Thanks again to everyone for their support!!

USA's premier trackday community, NESBA, shows HUGE support!!!

Picture
The members of NESBA (Northeast Sportbike Association) have stepped up and showed tremendous support for my efforts to race at the Isle of Man TT this year.  Members in total have donated over $600 to date and showing support in more ways than one.  I cannot thank them enough for their generosity and truly wouldn't be able to make it to the TT this year without them.
I am also a coach/control rider for NESBA when I am not racing.  They are, by far, the best trackday organization in the entire USA made possible by a huge contingent of volunteers like myself.  Check them out to see if they offer trackdays near you!

Brandon signs with CONTINENTAL Tires!!!

Picture
I have officially signed with Continental Tires to contest the CCS Atlantic series.  After testing these tires last summer for Dale at DragonKnee Racing I can say I am excited for the opportunity Continental has presented me and cannot wait to show everyone that they are the real deal.  Dale and his company DragonKnee Racing have been excellent to work with over the past year and I cannot wait to build a long term relationship with him and the Continental brand.  Look out for Continental on the podium this year!
Please contact Dale at dragonkneeracing@comcast.net for any questions on what is available and to place your order today!

Preparations to race in both supersport classes in the 2010 Isle of Man TT are officially underway.  Please read the following press release on the Roadracing World website, click HERE!
As stated in the press release I am in desperate need of donations and sponsors for the TT.  The TT is a once in a lifetime opportunity for an average guy like myself with an average day job.  I can't let this opportunity pass me by!  Any and all donations will be used for the sole purpose of funding my trip to race in both supersport classes at the 2010 TT in June.  No donation is too small, $5-500, anything helps and is appreciated more than can be expressed!  Donations can be made via paypal through my website on the donations page.
Please don't hesitate to contact me via the contact page here on my website with any questions, words of support, or whatever else!  Thanks for visiting and wish me luck!!!

                                      Ulster Grand Prix 2009
                                               !!RESULTS!!

Well, I made it back from my trip to Ireland to race in the 2009 Ulster Grand Prix.  I returned safe and sound but more importantly I had an experience of a lifetime!!
I couldn't have asked for a better time racing at the UGP.  Racing on a "real" road course for the first time is VERY unnerving and you find yourself questioning what you're doing quite a few times but all I can say is that the risk was well worth the rewards!  The weather held out on everyday we rode and the circuit was just plain fun to ride.
My results were better than I ever could've anticipated.  On Thursday's Irish National roadraces I managed a TOP 10 in the first race (600-750cc) and 23rd place in the second race (600-1000cc).  These races were the equivalent of a WERA National back home, with quite a few top riders mixed in the front as usual.
On Saturday I participated in my first professional race of my career, the Ulster Grand Prix.  I guess I took a big leap doing this on a "real" road course!  This is the equivalent of an AMA race back home.  I qualified no problem but still started in the back.  I had a blast in these races and riding with the pro's really helped me pick up speed around the course.  I finished 26th in UGP 600 Supersport race 1 which was about last but who freakin cares!!  Then I finished 21st in the UGP 600 Supersport race 2 and had a great battle with another rider for the entire race.  I had such an awesome time in both races and couldn't have asked for a better experience.
I want to thank Mark Hamilton of Irish Bike Magazine for providing me with the Yamaha R6 that I rode, it was flawless all week.  Also I would like to thank all my sponsors, without them this trip and my 2009 season wouldn't have been possible.
